Frequently asked questions
How does the employer match work here?
The employer matches your contribution up to the match percentage. If you contribute 10% and the match is up to 5%, the employer adds 5% of salary; if you contribute 3%, it adds only 3%.
Does it account for contribution limits?
No — it assumes your chosen percentage applies to the full salary each year. Real 401(k) plans have annual dollar limits.
