Frequently asked questions
How is production rate calculated?
Production rate (parts/hour) = (3600 ÷ cycle time in seconds) × efficiency. For a 45 s cycle at 85% efficiency: (3600 ÷ 45) × 0.85 = 80 × 0.85 = 68 parts/hour.
What does line efficiency represent?
Line efficiency (similar to OEE) is the fraction of time the line is actually producing good parts. It bundles availability losses (breakdowns, changeovers), performance losses (slow cycles), and quality losses (rejects) into one percentage.
