Frequently asked questions

How is the concrete volume calculated?

Volume = length × width × depth × number of footings. Four footings each 1 m × 1 m × 0.30 m give 4 × 0.30 = 1.20 m³. Dry quantities then use a 1.54 bulking factor.

What is the difference between a 1:2:4 and a 1:3:6 mix?

The numbers are parts by volume of cement : sand : gravel. 1:2:4 is general-purpose structural concrete (about C20); 1:3:6 is a leaner, cheaper mix for blinding layers or non-structural fills.

Does this tool size the footing or its reinforcement?
